Elbert Lee Trammell

Elbert Lee Trammell, age 73, of Jacksboro passed away peacefully on June 18, 2015 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. Elbert was born on May 31, 1942 in Terry Creek, TN. Elbert served in the Air Force and owned his own business for 35 years.

He was preceded in death by his mother Sue Sweeney, father Ireland Trammell, sister Dottie Lou Trammell and grandson Austin Trammell all of Elk Valley.

He is survived by his wife Ruth Trammell of Jacksboro; children Eddie Trammell of Elk Valley, Dorothy Franklin of Jacksboro and Dora Adkins & husband Joe of Rocky Top; brothers Carl Trammell & wife Jane of Newport and James Trammell & wife Donna of Alabama; 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and a host of special friends and loved ones.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow with Rev. Asbury Byrd and Rev. Pete Norman officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 am on Sunday, June 21, 2015 at New Canaan Cemetery.
