Ellen Hutson Lay

Ellen Hutson Lay, age 105, of Pioneer passéd away Sunday June 8, 2014. Mrs Lay was a member of Stanfield Baptist Church, she enjoyed working in her vegetable and flower garden, singing and going to Church and loved her family very much, she was a very good Mother.

Preceded in death by husband Lindsay L. L. Lay, parents Rev. J. C. and Rachael E. Lay Hutson sons Lenore Lay and Leon Lay, brother Venis Hutson, sisters Josephine Hutson and Llie Brandenburg.

Survived by sons Lenwood Lay and wife Phyliss of Jellico, James "J. S." Lay and wife Iris of Fla, daughters Ruth Warner and husband Roger of Vandalia, Ohio and Jeanetta Bridges of Elk Valley, several other family members and friends.

Family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday June 10, 2014 in Martin Wilson Chapel with funeral service to follow. Interment will be 12:00 pm Wednesday June 11, 2014 in Valley View Cemetery in Pioneer.
