Elmer Lewis Wilson, age 87, of Jacksboro passed away Saturday morning March 15, 2014. Mr. Wilson was a member of First Baptist Church in Jacksboro. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy serving in WWII and a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge.
Preceded in death by parents Elmer Loyd Wilson and Etta Baird Wilson.
Survived by his wife of sixty-six years Florence McGhee Wilson, daughter and son in law Peggy and David McCulley, son and daughter in law Allen and Debbie Wilson, brother and sister in law Jimmy and Mary Elizabeth Wilson, grandchildren Lisa Gresham, Philip McCulley, Andrew and Cody Wilson, great grandchildren Breana and Kendyl Gresham. The family would like to thank Amedisys and PCM for the care provided during his illness and a special thank you to Dr. Isber and his staff.
Family will receive friends 5pm-6:50 pm Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Jacksboro with Masonic service and funeral service to follow at 6:50 pm with Rev. Billy Smith officiating. Interment will be 11:00 am Thursday, March 20, 2014 in Jacksboro Cemetery.
