Emma Jean Woodson

Emma “Jean” Woodson, age 89, of LaFollette, went into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday October 20, 2026. She was a member of East LaFollette Baptist Church, and former owner of Woodson’s Trading Post with her late husband, H.Y. Woodson.

In addition to her husband, Jean is preceded in death by her parents, James Harvey and Mary Elizabeth Parker Sharp; sister, Opal Martha Sharp Stittums, and brother, Noble RL Sharp, Sr.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Pemberton and husband, Danny; granddaughters, Cynthia Woods and husband, Greg, Elizabeth Paul and husband Matt; great granddaughters, Emalynn Woods and Lydia Paul; brother, James Robert Sharp and wife Wanda; and many other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Sampson Ridenour officiating. Friends and family will meet on Friday, October 23, 2026, at 9:15 AM at the funeral home to go in funeral procession to Campbell Memorial Gardens for a 10:00 AM interment
