Ernest "Ernie" Phillips, age 71 of Jacksboro passed away Thursday, June 10, 2010 at the St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County. He was a member of Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church of Pioneer.
Preceded in death by Parents: James and Martha McKamey Phillips. Brothers: Wilmer, Kilmer, Carlos and Elmer Phillips and 1 infant brother. Sisters: Kilsie Cook and Carrie Gross.
Survived by Wife: Elizabeth Sizemore Phillips of Jacksboro. Children: Brenda and Jimmy Wilson of Lafollette, Tim Phillips of Jacksboro, Becky Phillips of Lake City, Tammy and Kelvin Bolton of Jacksboro, Suzanne and Tim Keck of Louisville, KY, Tom and Lisa Phillips of Jacksboro, Rhonda and Earl Goodman of Jacksboro and Amanda Phillips of Jacksboro. Grandchildren: Trish, Beth, Andrew and Kim Wilson, Mychal Bolton, Rachel and Daniel Phillips, Alex and Hope Keck. Mother in Law: Beatrice Jordan. Sisters and Brothers: Elsie Warman, Frosty Henderson, Geneva and Curt Shoun, Oma and Evan Heatherly, Virgle and Louise Phillips, Odis and Elaine Phillips. Sisters in Law and Brothers in Law: Kay and Charles Foster, Jan and Grover Clift, Ray and Cindy Jordan. Several nieces, nephews, friends and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be 8 PM Saturday, June 12, 2010 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Don Hughett and Rev. Jason McKamey officiating. Interment will be 2 PM Sunday in Cumberland View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Saturday night before funeral service.
