Ethel Lay

Ethel Byrge Lay, age 78 of Jacksboro went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 17, 2009. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church. She was born on July 22, 1930 to the late Henry and Molly Byrge. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

Preceded in death by Husband: Luther Lay. Parents: Henry and Mollie Wilson Byrge. Brothers: Boyd Daugherty, Walter, Harvey, Luther, and Arvil Byrge. Sisters: Emily Bolton, Ellen Gunter, and Myrtle Wilson.

Survived by Sons and Daughters in Law: Lewis and Mary Katherine Lay. Ronnie and Patricia Lay.  Donald and Peggy Lay all of Jacksboro. Wayne and Nora Lay of Lake City. Daughters and Sons in Law: Linda and Roger Barnes of Jacksboro. Gloria and Donnie Boles of Jacksboro. Brother and Sister in Law: Mart and Bonnie Byrge of Lake City. Sisters: Effie Ward of Lafollette and Evelyn Chapman of Jacksboro. Sisters in Law: Mildred Bolton and Silvania Sexton both of Jacksboro and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be 2 PM Sunday, July 19, 2009 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Don Allen and Rev. Adam Hunley officiating. Interment will follow in Alred Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
