Ethel Mae Stocks

Ethel Mae Stocks age 86 of LaFollette passed away Sunday, March 1, 2009 at the St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County. Mrs. Stocks was a member of Clinchmore Baptist Church. She loved to sew, enjoyed growing flowers and collecting angels. She was a very loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Preceded in death by Husband: Luther J. Stocks. Parents: Starling and Laura Ann  Gourd Lowe. Daughter: Donna Rose Sampsell. Sister: Mary Magdalene Harness.

Survived by Sons: Glen Ray Sampsell of Oak Ridge and Ray Hooks of Lafollette.
Daughters: Thelma Rose Mathis, Jennifer Mae Williams and Ollie Ann Forsythe all of Lafollette, Louise Marsee of LaFollette. Daughter and Son in Law: Frances and Michael Sines of Oak Ridge. 18 Grandchildren, 32 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren. Sisters: Ruth York of Oak Ridge and Imogene Moore of Clinton. Several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be 2 PM Wednesday, March 3, 2009 in Graves Gap Baptist Church with Rev. Lonnie Lowe officiating. Interment will follow in Graves Gap Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday night in Martin Wilson Chapel.
