Eugene Wilson

July 11, 1946 — November 20, 2013

Eugene "Goofy" Wilson, age 67, of LaFollette passed away on Wednesday, November 20th, 2013. He was a member of West LaFollette Baptist Church. He was a very loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather that enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and never met a stranger. He also loved spending time outdoors, fishing, camping, hunting with his dog Peabody, playing cards, and being around and with his friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest L & Ella Mae (Farris) Wilson and brother Lawrence and Odell Wilson.

He is survived by his sons Nathan Wilson & wife Holly of LaFollete, Todd Wilson of Jacksboro, and David Ogg & wife Edwina of Jacksboro; brothers Clarence "Johnny" Wilson & wife Lynda and Larry "Red" Wilson & wife Susie of LaFollette; sisters Darlene Marcks & husband Nathan of Wisconsin and Eloise Rorke & husband John of Virginia; grandchildren Preston "Littleman", Hope, Natalie, Velissa, and Amber; great-grandchild Cali; special nieces & nephews and a host of other relative and friends.

The visitation will be held on Friday, November 22nd, 2013 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm in the Martin Wilson Chapel. The funeral service will follow the visitation with Rev. Sampson Ridenour & Rev. Pat Ayers officiating. The interment with be held on Saturday, November 23rd, 2013 at 11:00 am in the Wilson Shepard Cemetery with the Campbell County Honor guard in charge of the graveside service.
