Frank Arlin Oakes

Frank Arlin Oakes, age 92, of Caryville passed away Thursday September 11, 2014. Mr. Oaks was of the Baptist Faith, he was a highly decorated WWII and Korean Conflict Veteran, he enjoyed fishing, had a big heart and never met a stranger,

Preceded in death by parents Greely and Emma Price Oaks, brother Ed Oaks, sisters Mable Evans and Una Strattenburger

Survived by sister Ora Marteen and husband Alvin of Caryville nephews Ben Walker and wife Wanda of Kingston, TN, Ralph Marteen of Caryville, William Lowe and wife Ann of Elk Valley and close friend Richard Wienc of Chicago, ILL, several other family members and friends.

Family will receive friends 10:00-11:00 am Monday September 15, 2014 in Martin Wilson Chapel with funeral service to follow with Rev. David Grant officiating. Interment in Valley View cemetery in Elk Valley.
