Gaytha Hignite Adkins

Gaytha Vaye (Hignite) Adkins, age 65, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2015. She was a devoted Christian mother and most loving sister, Bible teacher, anointed singer, songwriter and compassionate servant whose life was completely committed to serving God and others. She was a member of Stanfield Church of God. She was very artistic in many facets, and displayed deep Godly wisdom in her everyday life as her smile and kind words served as an encouragement to all.

She was preceded in death by her parents Frank & Lou Venie (Walden) Hignite and brother Verlon Walden.

She is survived byher son Donnie Adkins and daughter Angie Adkins both of Jacksboro, sister Vanda Edwards & husband Dan of Barboursville, VA, several nieces and nephews, special friend Eva Sue Marlow and one honorary grandson Nathaniel Walden of Jacksboro.

Visitation will be from 3:00 - 6:00 pm on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Stanfield Church of God with funeral service to follow with Rev. Delmus Bruce and Rev. Dan Edwards officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 am on Monday, March 9, 2015 at Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Stanfield Church of God and Ladies Auxillary.
