Geneva Lou Marlow

Geneva Martin Smith Marlow, age 80, departed this world for her Heavenly home on Monday, October 27th, 2014. She was a member of LaFollette Church of God. Geneva was a very loved and loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to all who knew her. She was born on May 17, 1930 and spent her childhood in Duff, TN. She travelled to Japan as a young bride and to Israel to visit the Holy Lands with her church later in life, making memories that she cherished. She loved writing poetry and stories of her childhood. She dearly loved her friends and was a devoted servant to her Heavenly Father.

She was preceded in death by her parents Etta Lewallen and Homer Martin, infant sons Richard and Jimmy Smith, husbands Sammie Smith and Harold Marlow, sister Katherine Bailey, brothers Kenneth and James Martin, step-son Eugene Marlow and special niece Connie Cordell.

She is survived by her sons Gary & wife Jerryl and David Smith & wife Connie, step-daughters April and Linda Marlow, step-sons David, Kenny, Keith and Kevin Marlow and grandchildren Nick Smith, Jennifer Archer, Josh and Jason Smith and Kristen Franklin, sister Della Cordell, special niece Kathy Walker whom she lived with for a period of time and a host of beloved nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Wednesday, October 29th, 2014 in the Martin Wilson chapel with the funeral service to follow. Interment will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 30th, 2014 at Woodlawn Cemetery.
