George Taylor

George "Scorchie" Taylor, Jr., age 78, of Duff passed away Thursday, May 23, 2013. He was a member of Habersham Baptist Church. He was a very loving father and grandfather that enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, Ginsenging, anything to do with the outdoors, & playing with his dog Precious.

He was preceded in death by his parents George Sr. & Mary Etta (Vanover) Taylor, wife Marie Aileen (Malicoat) Taylor, infant son James Edward, daughter Brenda Welch, brothers Kenneth & Carl Taylor, and sisters Claudette & Susie Taylor.

He is survived by his sons Danny Taylor & wife Wanda of Clairfield and James Clyde Taylor & wife Tammy of Habersham, daughter Betty Wright & husband David of Cincinnati, OH, brothers Jimmy Taylor & wife Jennie of LaFollette and Walter Taylor & wife Jo of Habersham, sister Bonnie Taylor of Habersham, 7 grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 26th, 2013 from 12:00 - 1:00 pm at Martin Wilson Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm with Rev Jimbo Bolton and Rev Pat Ayers officiating. Interment will be follow at Peabody Cemetery.
