Georgia Mowell

September 8, 1923 — October 20, 2010

Georgia Mae Mowell was born on September 8th 1923 to George & Chloe Lovely of Lafollette, TN. She was the oldest of three children. She married Robert Mowell and they were blessed with their only child, Judy Lynn in 1949.

A devoted follower of Christ, Georgia was a member of Mt. Paran Baptist Church in Jacksboro for over 50 years. Her faith, strength, and devotion to her family, friends, and God have been an inspiration to all who have known her.

Georgia was a teacher in Campbell County for over 40 years and considered it a privilege to have taught the majority of people in the Jacksboro area. After retiring from teaching she continued her passion of helping others by volunteering her time at the hospital in Lafollette. She was also involved in many clubs and organizations.

Loved and admired by all who knew her, Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, George & Chloe Lovely, brother James H. Lovely, sister Vida Kelly, husband Robert Mowell, daughter Judy Casey, son-in-law Roger Casey, nephew Mark Lovely.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Angie Barber & husband James of Acworth, GA, Christy Karoffa & husband Alex of Canton, GA, Scott Casey of Tybee Island, GA. Great grandchildren, Paige Edwards of Carnesville, GA, Alston & Aysha Babb of Canton, GA, and Melanie Powell of Castle Rock, Co. Great great grandchildren, James & Jordan Barber of Acworth, GA, Erin Powell & Tristan Pomeleo of Castle Rock, CO, Sister in law Opal Lovely of Jacksboro, niece Lisa Rolston & husband Charlie of Jacksboro, and several cousins.

From her unlimited supply of love and kindness to her southern etiquette and graceful charm, Georgia will remain in the hearts and lives of the many people she has touched. We love & miss you "Mamaw Mowell".
