Gerald Irby

Gerald Lee Irby, 83 of LaFollette went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 27, 2016. He was of the Protestant faith. He was a member of the Assemblies of God Church in Indiana and attended Valley Fellowship Church of God in LaFollette. Gerald was a very loving husband of 62 ½ years, loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather that enjoyed preaching, attending church, and playing golf. He was an ordained minister of The Assemblies of God church for over 40 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents James Albert and Carrie (Cory) Irby; brothers Robert, James, Gene Irby, and infant brother William Irby; sister Roberta Greemann.

He is survived by son Rick (Christina) Irby of North Carolina; daughter Susan (Knud) Salveson of Jacksboro; grandchildren Jennifer (Christopher) Busby, Jonathan (Caitlin) Irby, Lindsay (Clifford) Powell, and Jesse Salveson.

Visitation will be 6-8 PM Friday, July 29, 2016 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home.

Martin Wilson Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
