Gladys Lovely Phillips Van Camp passed away Monday November 16th 7 A.M. at St. Mary's of Campbell County. Gladys was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great Great Grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, traveling, gardening, growing flowers and anything to do with the outdoors. She also loved spending time with her family especially her Grandchildren.
Preceded in death by husband and father of their children: Alfred Phillips. Husband: Winthrop Van Camp. Son: James Phillips. Parents: James and Nancy Hatmaker Lovely. Brothers: George, Roscoe and James "Pete" Lovely. Sisters: Flossie Isabell, Melda Harris, Mary Magalene Daniel and Helen Foster.
Survived by Sons and Daughters in Law: Rev. Lee and Lillie Phillips of Caryville, Tommy Phillips and fiancée, special friend and care giver Betty Sexton of Caryville. Daughters: Betty Kash and special friend Ron Williams of Caryville, Wanda Goble and husband Lee of Caryville, Barbara Everett and husband Don of Cleveland, TN. Sisters: Reta Smith of KY. Special Daughters-In-Law: Uneeda Phillips of Ohio, Sherry Phillips of Caryville. 14 Grandchildren, 38 Great Grandchildren and 12 Great Great Grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be 8 PM Thursday, November 19, 2009 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Don Allen officiating. Interment will be 1 PM Friday in Campbell Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday night before funeral service.
