Gladys Hazel Green

Gladys Hazel Green, age 95 of Jacksboro, departed this life on Monday, January 12, 2026, at LaFollette Health and rehab. She was born on May 14, 1930, to the late Donnie Lyke and Leona Brown. Gladys was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed gardening, quilting, canning, and her flower bed. She loved everybody, especially her family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Joe Green; grandmother who raised her Ann “Maw” Brown; brother Donnie Brown; and sister Elizabeth Walden.

Gladys is survived by her daughters Patsy Berry of Jacksboro and Carole Nelson of Jacksboro; step-daughter Vera Norman and husband Doyle of El Paso, Texas; sister Ruby Norman of LaFollette; grandchildren Dawn Sharp and husband Billy of Jacksboro and Victoria Nelson of Jacksboro; step grandchildren Shannon Stewart and husband Jon of Massachusetts and Jason Norman of El Paso, Texas; and several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends, and relatives.

Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 PM on Thursday, January 15, 2026, in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM with Bro. J.B. Monday officiating. Interment to follow funeral services at Campbell Memorial Gardens.
