Glen Ray Evans

Glen Ray Evans, age 74, of Caryville passed away Friday, October 17, 2014. Glen was a member of Lake View Baptist Church. He was a very loving husband of 54 years, father and grandfather that enjoyed spending time with his family and watching sports, especially Tennessee football and the Lady Vols play basketball. Glen was a general contractor for many years.

Preceded in death by parents Clarence Bedford and Gladys Lay Evans and sister Doris Jean Jessie.

Survived by wife Sue Kitts Evans of Caryville; sons Rick Evans of LaFollette and Mark Evans & wife Amanda of Caryville; grandsons Todd Evans of Jacksboro and Ryan Evans & wife Halie of Jacksboro; sisters Betty Phillips of LaFollette, Wanda Norton & husband Billy of Jacksboro, and Ruth Huff & husband Rollin of Ohio; aunts, uncle, several nieces, nephews and a host of cousins and friends.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 - 8:00 pm on Monday, October 20, 2014 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with funeral service to follow with Rev. Mike Smith, Rev. Danny Orick, and Rev. Wesley Dupuy officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 in Evans Cemetery.
