Glouis Carroll

Glouis "June" Carroll, age 75, of LaFollette passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2016. June was of the Baptist faith and attended Fairview Baptist Church. She was a loving wife of 51 years. June enjoyed spending time with her family who she loved very much. She also loved quilting, crocheting, embroidering, anything with working with her hands.

She is preceded in death by her parents Herman and Alice (Burke) Hamby; and infant son Lindsay Todd Carroll.

She is survived by her husband Clarence Dempsey Carroll Sr.; sons Dempsey Carroll (Sherry) of Knoxville and Christopher Carroll (Shannon) of Jacksboro; daughters Pansey Meade (Rob) of Caryville and Crystal Byrd (Ronald) of Scott County; sisters Joyce King (William) and Brenda Stanfield both of Winfield, Tennessee; grandchildren David Todd Fugate, Mark Fugate, Anna Fugate, Jonathan Byrd, Matthew Byrd, and Gabrielle Carroll; great grandchild Justin Louise Byrd; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

The family will receive friends Sunday, January 24, 2016 from 6-8 pm and the funeral service will follow at 8 pm in the Martin Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carlie Duncan & Rev. Roger Lloyd officiating. Friends and family will meet on Monday, January 25, 2016 at 12 noon for the interment at West Cemetery in Scott County.
