Grace Naomi Underwood

Grace Naomi Underwood, age 86 of Lafollette went home to be with the Lord Monday, October 12, 2009 at the U.T. Medical Center of Knoxville. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church. Grace was a very loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved to attend church when she was able and enjoyed working in her flower garden and spending time with her family and friends.

Preceded in death by Husband: James C. Underwood. Son: James Aaron Underwood. Parents: Jesse and Mossie Ford Ausmus. 16 brothers and sisters.

Survived by Son: Haroldene Underwood of Lafollette. Daughter: Martha Elizabeth Underwood of Lafollette. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Sister: Edna Curtis of Plainview, TX.

Funeral Service will be 8 PM Friday, October 16, 2009 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Howard Goins officiating. Interment will be 11 AM Saturday in Fincastle Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Friday before funeral service.
