Harold E. Welch

Harold E."Cracker" Welch, age 82 of LaFollette went home to be with the Lord Saturday April 30, 2016. He was a Christian and attended East LaFollette Baptist Church. Cracker was born in Greene County, GA and moved to Eagan, Tn at the age of 2, he resided there until he joined the military and served three years, as a teenager he played baseball for Blue Diamond Coal Company. He was employed at Pyro Shows after retiring from Consolidated Coal Company.

Preceded in death by son Dennis Welch, parents Dallard and Florence Welch, mother and father in law Charles and Bessie Johnson, brother J. D. Welch, sister Lois Farmer Richardson.

Survived by wife Madge Johnson Welch of LaFollette, sister Wilma Andrews of GA, six nieces, special friend Debbie Wilson and several other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday May 3, 2016 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home, the service will follow at 8:00 pm with Rev. Greg Chandler and Rev. Carl Edwards officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:15 am on Wednesday May 4, 2016 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home for 11:00 am interment in Campbell Memorial Gardens.
