Helen Cordell

Helen Cordell, age 89, of LaFollette went home to be with the Lord and her husband of 61 years Ralph Cordell on Friday April 1, 2016. She was a member of West LaFollette Baptist Church. Helen enjoyed reading, working crosswood puzzles, embroidering and spending time with her family. She was very active in her church, teaching Sunday School for many years.

Preceded in death by husband Rev. Ralph Cordell, parents, Fletcher and Ethel Newby Grant, 2 infant daughters Phyllis and Connie Gail.

Survived by Sons and daughters in law Paul and Loretta Cordell of Jacksboro, Steve and Emily Cordell of Brooklet, GA. Daughters and sons in law Linda and Richard Enix of Lake City, Tn, Doris and Mickey Sharp of LaFollette, Debbie and Jay Ragain of Collierville, Tn and Margaret Davis of Orange Park Fla. Brothers Arville Grant and wife Helen of Knoxville, Ralph Grant and Fiancee Darlene Stittums of Caryville. Sisters Pauline Norfleet of Murfreesboro, Tn, Robbie Sue Heltsley and husband Dale of Hermitage, Tn, 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation for Mrs. Cordell will be 5:00-7:00 pm on Monday April 4, 2016 in Martin Wilson Chapel with funeral service to follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Sampson Ridenour and Grandsons Chaplain Jason Ragain and Rev. Christopher Enix officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:15 on Tuesday April 5, 2016 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home and proceed to Woodlawn cemetery for a 11:00 am interment.
