Helen Bernice Greenwood

Helen Bernice Greenwood, age 86 of Jacksboro passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at the Sumner Regional Hospital in Gallatin, TN. Mrs. Greenwood was a member of East Jacksboro Baptist Church. Helen loved quilting, reading and football. Her family was her life.

Preceded in death by Husband: Eugene Greenwood. Parents: Riley Ross and Liza Queener Goins. Brothers: Hope, Byron and Gilbert "Gig" Goins. Sister: Thelma Bell.

Survived by Son and Daughter in Law: David and Claudia Greenwood of Corbin, KY. Daughter and Son in Law: Elizabeth and Don Sowder of Portland, TN. Specially devoted granddaughter: Jennifer Bolton and Thomas Cannon of Spartenburg, SC. Specially devoted grandson: Derrick Sowder of Nashville. Grandchildren: Angela Teague of Clinton, Melissa and Greg Tackett of Jacksboro. 4 Great Grandchildren. Brother: Warren Goins of Jacksboro. Sisters: Mary Elizabeth Mills of Walton, KY and Martha Ann Helton of Knoxville. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be 8 PM Friday, June 27, 2008 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Randy Tingle and Rev. Jimmy Ault officiating. Interment will be 11 AM Saturday in Jacksboro Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Friday night before funeral service.
