Helen Jean Jeffers

Helen Jean Jeffers, age 81, of LaFollette went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 23rd, 2013 at Physicians Regional Medical Center. She was a member of High Street Baptist Church. She loved going to church and reading her Bible. She was a very loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother that enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, making ceramics, and watching sports on TV.

She was preceded in death by her parents Burrell & Mary (Hensley) Savage; husband Costello Jeffers; brothers Curtis, Everett, Edward, and Fred Savage; and sister Ethel Suttles.

She is survived by her daughters Linda Adkins & husband James of LaFollette, Connie Parks & husband Mike of Knoxville, Janice Jeffers of LaFollette, and Sandra Matlock of Jacksboro; grandchildren David and Patrick Adkins, Leah (Adkins) Ward, Jason, Autumn, and Courtney Wilson, Jeffrey and Sarah Matlock, and Dana and Alan Parks; great-grandchildren Monica Ward, Michael David and Douglas Adkins, Jade Fontana, Costello Wilson, Grace Smith, and Joshua, Matthew, and Isabella Wilson; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 800 pm on Saturday, December 28th, 2013 in the Martin Wilson Chapel. Funeral service will follow the visitation with Rev. Paul Hembree officiating. Interment with be held at 11:00 am on Sunday, December 29th, 2013 at Peabody Cemetery.
