Helen Jean Nelson

Helen Jean Nelson age 58 of Jacksboro passed away at her home quietly while surrounded by family and friends on June 29, 2009. She was a member of Ford Town Baptist Church. Mrs. Nelson was a loving wife, of 36 years, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She loved going to church, working in her yard, cooking for and spending time with her family especially her grandbabies when she was able. She enjoyed fishing, camping, or anything to do with the outdoors.

Preceded in death by Parents: Earl and Irene Mowell Martin. Brother: Don Martin.

Survived by Husband: Robert Nelson of Jacksboro. Son and Daughter in Law: Robert and Charlene Nelson of Sweetwater. Daughter and Son in Law: Peggy and Danny Norman of Jacksboro. 7 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild. Brother and Sister in Law: David and Lois Martin of Jacksboro. Sister and Brother in Law: Linda and Charles Gardner of Maryville.

Funeral service will be 8 PM Wednesday, July 1 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Adam Hunley and Rev. Tim Dupuy officiating. Interment will be 10 AM Thursday in Willoughby Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Wednesday night before funeral service.
