Henry Edward Watkins

Henry Watkins, age 68 of LaFollette went home to be with the Lord Thursday, September 1, 2016. He proudly served his country in the Marines during the Vietnam War. He was a very loving father, grandfather, brother, and special friend to many. Henry enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He retired from CSX, where he had worked for 28 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents Dewey and Rosa Mae (Archer) Watkins; brothers Leon Burns, Dewey Watkins Jr., and infant brother Wayne Dan Watkins; Lillian Walden, June Dishon, Lucille Siler and Nancy Brandenburg.

He is survived by daughters Crystal (Watkins) and husband Ronald Longmire and Shannon Seiber, both of LaFollette; brothers Jerry and wife Jan Watkins of LaFollette, special brother-in-law Don Dishon of Florida; sisters Bettye and husband Joe Heinrich of Ohio, Edith Gillenwater of LaFollette, Rhonda Anne and husband Clevis Campbell of LaFollette, and Alta Gross of Ohio; 2 grandchildren Randy Longmire and Nevaeh Grace Longmire.

Visitation will be 6-8 PM Sunday, September 4, 2016 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home; service will follow at 8 PM with Rev. Harry James officiating.

Martin Wilson Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
