Hiram Jordan

Hiram W. Jordan of Jacksboro went home to be with the Lord Saturday March 9, 2013 at his home. He was a member of Lake View Baptist Church. He retired from General Motors (Delco Chassie) with 28 years of service in Dayton, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Edgar and Fronnie Jordan. Father and mother in law: Fred and Eva Thorton Clair. Brother in law: Henry Thorton. Special aunt and Uncle Margie and Tobe Chambers and niece, Amy Carroll.

Hiram is survived by his wife of 52 years Bertha (Thorton) Jordan. Daughter: Debra Thacker of Ohio. Son and wife: Darren and Jennifer Jordan of Maryville, TN. Sister: Linda Creager of Ohio. Brother: Ronald (Peanut) Jordan of Jacksboro and special cousin Clarence Lowe of Jacksboro. He has 7 grandchildren whom he loved very much and he also loved meeting with his special friends at Hardees' each morning.

Funeral services will be at 8 PM Tuesday March 12, 2013 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Stanley and Rev. Charles Noss officiating. Interment will 1 PM Wednesday at Meredith cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 before funeral service. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Campbell County Cancer Association P.O. Box 122 Jacksboro, TN 37757.
