Hubert Elmer Powell

Hubert "Elmer" Powell, age 68, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 27, 2015. Hubert was a Vietnam Veteran, a retired coal miner and was also employed by Lincoln Brass for many years. He was a loving husband, father & friend to all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his mother Cleo McGlone, father Elmer Kincaid, brothers Danny and Ricky McGlone, sister Patricia McGlone and Aunt Lorene White.

He is survived by his wife Linda Powell; son Jeff Powell; daughter Melissa Smith & husband Alan; brothers Randy McGlone, Elmer Kincaid, Jr. and Frank Kincaid; sisters Gail Lyke and Brenda Gibson; special Aunt Irene Scarborough; special niece Kayleigh Kidwell; a host of nieces, nephews, family & friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Monday, March 2, 2015 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow with Rev. Lawrence Henegar & Rev. Leroy Braden officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Powell Valley Cemetery.
