Ina Pearl Silcox

August 16, 1915 — January 5, 2010

Ina Pearl Silcox, age 94 of Caryville went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at the St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County. Pearl was a very loving mother and grandmother of 4 generations. She loved attending Bear Wallow Baptist Church where she attended faithfully for over 40 years. She enjoyed quilting, making crafts or working with her hands and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She loved being around people and will be greatly missed by those that knew and loved her.

Preceded in death by Husband: Jake Silcox. Son: Little Jimmy. Parents: Wiley and Hannah Byrd. Brothers: Arnold, Obis, Otto, Gaston, Lawrence and Ches Byrd. Sister: Flora Hicks and Florence Byrd. Son in Law: Herman Vitatoe. Grandson: Gary Vitatoe. Granddaughter: Angela Cox Mounts.

Survived by Sons and Daughters in Law: Henry Silcox of Duck Town, TN. Estel and Earlene Silcox of Jefferson City. Boyce and Mable Silcox and Rickey and Cathy Silcox all of Jacksboro. Daughters and Sons in Law: Stella Silcox of Caryville and Imogene Vitatoe of Lafollette. Brenda and Edward Cox of Caryville. Lois and Danny Ayers of Jacksboro. Brother: Ed Byrd of Ohio. Sister: Geneva of Florida. 18 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 24 great great grandchildren and 2 great great great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be 2 PM Friday, January 8, 2010 at Bear Wallow Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Adkins officiating. Interment will follow in Silcox Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday night at the funeral home.
