James Daniel Daugherty

James Daniel Daugherty, age 77 of Caryville, went to his heavenly home on Saturday, March 23, 2024, surrounded by his loving family at the U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville. He was born October 13, 1946, in Clinchmore to the late Dan and Mary Seiber Daugherty. James enjoyed being in the mountains, four wheeling, and ginseng. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Paul and Sam Daugherty; his sisters, Margaret McGhee and Geneva Newport.

Left to remember the life of James is his loving wife of 56 years, Evadean Ward Daugherty of Caryville; his loving daughters and their spouses, Melissa Daugherty and Stoney Bolton of Jacksboro, Mary Cardwell and husband, Bobby of Jacksboro, Trula Foust and husband, Stan of LaFollette, Linda Ward and husband, David of Jacksboro; his loving grandchildren, Jessica Freeman and husband, Jason, Brandy Byrge, Brittany Broughton and husband, Nate, Darian Foust and wife, Brittany, Mallory Adkins and husband, Robert, Kenny Byrge, Devan Foust, Maura Guder and husband, Damien, Megan Ward, and Abby Cardwell; his loving great grandchildren, Lauren, Bentley, Maddox, Tylee, Gaige, Canon, Kaelin, Coleman, Norris, and Luke; his loving brother, John Daugherty of Jacksboro; his loving sisters, Nancy Lynch and Maggie Daugherty both of Caryville; several nieces, nephews, and host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, March 27th, 2024, in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with his funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM with his grandson in law Jason Freeman and his nephew Dr. Shaun Lynch officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:15 AM on Thursday, March 28th at the funeral home to go in funeral procession to Campbell Memorial Gardens for a 12:00 noon interment.

The family has entrusted the care of James Daniel Daugherty to Martin Wilson Funeral Home "Where Families Matter Most."
