James Douglas

James "Jimmy" Douglas, age 66 of Pioneer went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 20, 2009 at his home. James was a deacon for many years at New Canaan Baptist Church. He was a very loving husband of 45 years and a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He enjoyed life and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by those that knew and loved him. He also enjoyed working or doing things with his hands.

Preceded in death by Parents: Homer and Blanche Douglas. Sister: Juanita Roberts.

Survived by Wife: Judy Douglas of Pioneer. Daughters: Connie Douglas of Pioneer and Denise Brown of Jacksboro. Grandchildren: Danielle Ballard, Brittany Brown, Cory Idalski, Hunter, Riley and Hanna Ferrell. Great Grandchildren: Bryson James and Aalliah Nicole Ballard. Brother: Homer Douglas of Michigan. Sister: Roberta Baker of Pioneer.

Funeral Service will be 8 PM Sunday, August 23, 2009 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Al Byrd and Rev. Adam Hunley officiating. The family will meet for burial and interment 10 AM Monday in Valley View Cemetery with the Honor Guard conducting the service. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Sunday night before funeral service.
