James Eubaun Richardson

James Eubaun Richardson passed from this life on December 27, 2020. He was born July 22, 1921. James was as lifelong member of East Jacksboro Baptist Church and a retiree of the Y-12 plant in Oak Ridge. He was a decorated WWII Veteran and special unit Merrill's Marauders, and was recently awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor. He was also a member of Jacksboro Masonic Lodge and was known throughout the community as the proprietor of Richardson's grocery at Jacksboro Station from 1961-1975. After retirement he devoted a lot of free time to the Salvation Army and his church. Many in the community knew him as an avid Vol fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lee Richardson and Hattie Gaylor Richardson, his wife Jewell Richardson and grandsons Brian and Steven Robbins.

He is survived by his children Judy Robinison (Larry) of Jacksboro, Jean Robbins (Harold) of Knoxville, Jamie Lawson (Ricky) of Caryville, and Jim Richardson of Knoxville, three grandchildren, and three great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 12:00-7:00 PM in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 12:15 PM to go in funeral procession to Campbell Memorial Gardens for a 1:00 PM interment with Rev. Jimmy Ault and Rev. Johnny Vanover officiating.  Military Honors will be conducted by the Campbell County Honor Guard.

The family has asked that everyone that attends the service to please wear a mask and social distance.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of one's choice.
