James Everette Hollifield

James Everette Hollifield, age 73, of Jacksboro passed away on Monday, February 9, 2015 at home. He was a member of Bruce Gap Baptist Church. He enjoyed attending his church, being outside with his horses, riding his horses and he loved his family very much.

He was preceded in death by his parents William & Bertha Lee (Sexton) Hollifield; sons infant sons William Alfred and Danny Ray Hollifield; brothers Lonnie, Ed and Arnold Gene Hollifield and sisters Lois Philips and Corine Patty.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years Betty Hollifield of Jacksboro; son Randy Hollifield of Jacksboro; daughter Brenda Sue West & husband Dennis of Caryville; brothers Clem Hollifield and Gary Hollifield & wife Rhonda all of Jacksboro; sisters Mary Watson and Rachel Anderson & husband Bill all of Jacksboro; grandchild Michael Lee Hollifield of Jacksboro and great-grandchild Brooklynn Lee Hollifield of Detroit, MI.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow with Rev. Larry Sharp and Rev. Thomas Adkins officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 am on Friday, February 13, 2015 at Cumberland View Cemetery.
