James Hubert Miller

James "Jim" Hubert Miller, age 73, of LaFollette passed away peacefully on Monday, February 11, 2013 at LaFollette Medical Center. He was born on October 19, 1939 in LaFollette. Mr. Miller was a member of Island Home Baptist Church in Norris, TN, Campbell County Masonic Lodge #778 & local IBEW. He was a caring son, father, and grandfather. Mr. Miller & his father operated the Union 76 station on College Hill for years and he was an electrician by trade, where he retired from Y-12 Plant in Oak Ridge. In his younger years he enjoyed building race cars and had a love for antique cars.

He was preceded in death by his parents John Hubert "Speedy" & Lillie Okie Irwin Miller and brother-in-law Garland Parrott.

He is survived by his son James "Jimmy" Irwin Miller, daughters Elizabeth "Becky" Milller & Vicky Lynn Miller all of LaFollette, grandchildren Benjamin Neil Miller of LaFollette, James Zachary Miller of Lawrenceville, GA, Corey & Katelyn Jean Miller of Clinton, sisters and brother-in-laws Imogene (Arnold) Parker of San Antonio, TX, Shirley (Cecil) Peel, & Carolyn Parrott all of LaFollette, aunt Willie Louise Madron of LaFollette, special friends who were like brothers to him, Jim Coward of Powell & Dennis McCullah of LaFollette, several nieces & nephews, and a host of other relatives & friends. The family wishes to extend special thanks to his church family at Island Home Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 14th, 2013 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm in the Martin Wilson Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 8:00 pm with Rev Calvin Braden officiating. Interment will be on Friday, February 15th, 2013 at 11:00 am at Campbell Memorial Gardens.
