James Melton Housley

January 18, 1940 — November 8, 2009

James Melton Housley, age 69 of Seymour, TN, formerly of Cincinnati passed away Sunday, November 8, 2009 at the U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville. He was a member of Ashland Avenue Baptist Church in Cincinnati , Ohio. James was a loving husband of 50 years, grandfather and great father who loved to fish, camp or anything to do with the outdoors. He will be sadly missed by those that knew him.

Preceded in death by Parents: James and Ethel Shepherd Housley. Sisters: Roberta Housley Strain and Mary Carlie Housley Evans. Brothers: Otha, Danny, Delynn and Hurshel Housley.

Survived by Wife: Judy Carolyn Housley. Son: James Robert Housley. Daughter: Teresa Carol Rodriguez. Grandchildren: Christy Nicole Housley, James Edward Housley, Aaron Wayne Martin and Alexander Chance Martin. Great Grandchildren: Ravine Nicole Mayfield and Copper William Martin. Brothers and Sisters in Law: Bobby Joe and Carol Housley of Ohio and Tony Housley of Texas. Sisters: Esther Housley Owens of VA, Azalee Housley McCullah of Lafollette, Yvonna Housley Morrell of Lafollette. Sisters in Law: Mary Moser Housley of Lafollette, Itiline McCullah Housley of Athens and Tennessee Housley of Somerset, Ohio.

Funeral Service will be 8 PM Thursday, November 12, 2009 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Lawrence Henegar officiating. Interment will be 11 AM Friday in Campbell Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday night before funeral service.
