James "Robert" Burriss

James "Robert" Burriss, age 67 went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday April 12, 2023. He was a loving father and grandfather that enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a very avid Tennessee football fan that enjoyed watching old westerns, hunting, and fishing or doing anything outdoors.

Robert is preceded by his parents, Russell and Imogene Sue White Burriss; brothers, Dennis Burriss, Floyd Burriss, and Teddy Burriss; sisters, Linda Seiber and Lucille Adkins.

He is survived by his son, Joe Burriss of Jacksboro; daughter, Sue Ella White and Cris Miles of Oak Grove; brother, Wade Burress and wife Tammy of Rocky Top; sisters, Brenda Burriss of Rocky Top, Annie Seiber and husband Raymond of Rocky Top; grandchildren, Taylor White, Conner Berrier, Cayde Burriss, and Cameron Burriss; great-grandchild, Caroline Sherwood.

The family will receive friends on Sunday April 16, 2023 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home from 5 PM to 7 PM. Funeral Service to follow at 7 PM with Rev. George Asbury officiating. Family and friends will meet on Monday April 17, 2023 at 10 AM to go in funeral procession to Campbell Memorial Gardens for a 11 AM interment.
