James Lowell Shubert

James "Jim" Lowell Shubert age 52 of Lafollette passed away at home Thursday September 29, 2011. Jim was a loving husband and devoted father and a friend to anyone in need. He loved to work with his hands and fix things. He enjoyed being outdoors and especially enjoyed working on race cars and horseback riding. Jim attended Covenant Life Church in Lake City.

He joins in heaven his Mother, Betty Majors and Brother, David Shubert.

He is survived by Wife, Mary Katherine and Son, Jimmy Shubert, Daughters, Robin and Ashley Hubbard, beloved Granddaughter Marina Pike. Sisters, Cindy Newman and Debbie Pohlenz. Many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday October 3, 2011 from 6-8 PM in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with a celebration of Jim's Life, love and laughter to follow at 8 PM with Rev. Tony McAfee officiating. In lieu of flowers a college fund has been established for Jimmy and donations may be made at ORNL Federal Credit Union.
