Janice Marie (Wells) Botts

Janice Marie Botts, age 79 of LaFollette, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 5, 2020. She was born September 25, 1940 in Jacksboro to the late Wesley and Pheobie (Baird) Wells. Janice enjoyed flowers, playing the piano and guitar, and going to gospel singings with her family, "The Botts Family". She loved her children and grandchildren very much.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Botts; daughter, Melody Blankenship; son, James Botts; granddaughter, Telisha Massengill; brothers, Hershel and James Wells; and an infant sister.

Janice is survived by sons, Charles "Chuck" Botts and wife, Charlotte of Stinking Creek and Christopher Scott Botts and wife, Crystal of Pioneer; daughters, Teresa Blalock and husband, Eddie of Jacksboro and Sharon Jones and husband, Acie of Jacksboro; sister, Carolyn Rucker of Caryville. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 2:00 to 3:00 PM on Saturday, March 7th, 2020 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 4:00 PM at Baird Cemetery in Elk Valley following visitation with Rev. Jim Rolland and Rev. David Creekmore officiating.
