Jerry Massengill

Jerry G. Massengill, age 69, of Jacksboro passed away on Monday, September 7, 2015. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a very loving father, brother and companion that enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved camping, fishing, hunting & riding 4-wheelers or anything to do with the outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his parents John & Betty (Harness) Massengill; infant daughter Drema and brothers Gary, Roger, Clarence, Raymond and Jack Massengill.

He is survived by his companion Dessie W. Massengill of Jacksboro; sons Jerry "Steve" Massengill & wife Ann of Jacksboro, Jeff Massengill & wife Ronda of LaFollette, Jason Massengill & wife Tara of Millington, TN and Jonathan Massengill of Jacksboro; brothers James "Jim" Massengill & wife Louise of LaFollette and Danny Massengill & wife Lynn of Jacksboro; sisters Marie Kitts of Norris, Shelby "Jean" Long of Corbin, Carolyn "Sue" Heatherly & husband Ralph of Jacksboro, Melinda Nuzum & husband Mark of Jacksboro, Marcelene Madison of Jacksboro and Cleta Phillips & husband Houston of Caryville; grandchildren Amanda, Felicia, Gloria, Tiffani, Gary, Aurora, Patrick and Brooklyn Massengill and great-grandchildren Braylee, Jesse and Riley Massengill; a special nephew, Johnny Massengill and a host of friends & relatives.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Friday, September 11, 2015 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home with the funeral service following with Rev. Tom Reece officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 12, 2015.
