James "Jim" Wilson, age 62 of Jacksboro passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at the U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville. Mr. Wilson was a member, deacon and Sunday school teacher at East Jacksboro Baptist Church. He had been a disc jockey for WLAF radio for 39 years. He loved all sports especially baseball and softball and played softball for Lafollette for several years.
Preceded in death by Parents: Fred and Ruby Hatmaker Wilson.
Survived by Wife: Janice Wilson. Son and Daughter in Law: Eric and Amanda Wilson all of Jacksboro. Daughter and Son in Law: Brandi and Chris Mott of Knoxville. Grandchildren: Chelsey Tiller of Knoxville, Alyssa and Samuel Wilson both of Jacksboro. Brother: Rev. Bobby Ray Wilson of Maryville. Sister: Louise Wood of Jacksboro. A host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be 2 PM Saturday, September 6, 2008 at East Jacksboro Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Ault officiating. Interment will follow in Cumberland View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 PM Saturday before funeral service.
