Joel Anthony Gibson

Reverend Gibson, born October 8, 1955, passed away May Joel "Anthony" 5, 2016. In his passing he joined his sweetheart of 34yrs, Vicki D. Gibson (Lowe). Anthony was also predeceased by his parents, Loyd and LaVaughn Gibson and father-in-law, Henry Lowe. He leaves behind two daughters, Amy (Douglas) Schmit and Andrea (Dewayne) Smith and three grandchildren, Dakota A. Gibson, Kourtney L. Gibson (Shelton), and Benjamin Oseguera-Gibson. Joel also leaves behind three brothers, Loyd Gibson Jr., Gary Gibson, and Dennis Gibson, and one sister, Rosanda Scarlett. He also leaves behind his mother-in-law, Wanda Lowe, Sister in Law Lisa (Gary) Dodson and brother-in-law Randy Lowe. Anthony had several nieces and nephews that he loved dearly as well.
Anthony and his wife, Vicki, had been in the ministry for over 35 yrs. and he most recently was the founder and pastor of Word of Life Church in LaFollette, Tennessee. As a pastor, he lived a life that showed God's love at all times and prayed continuously for all souls to be reached.

The family will receive friends for Rev. Joel Anthony Gibson Monday, May 9, 2016 from 5-8 PM in the chapel at Martin Wilson Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 12:00 PM at the Word of Life Church with Brother Lonnie Gibson, Pastor Keith Flack and Pastor Ricky Ball officiating. The interment will follow service at Jubilee Cemetery.
