John Ronald Ayers

John Ayers, age 75 of LaFollette, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Turkey Creek Medical Center. He was born on March 31, 1946 to the late James and Pauline (Hood) Ayers. John was of the Baptist faith and proudly served in the Army.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Ray Ayers and James Ayers.

He is survived by his loving wife Charlotte Ayers of LaFollette; son Brain Smith and wife Mandie of Jacksboro; daughters Ginger Jackson and husband Tommy of LaFollette. Heather Bullman of Jacksboro, and Toska Child's and husband Skip of Clinton; brothers Arnold Ayers and wife Rita of Clinton and Danny Ayers and wife Lois of Jacksboro; sisters Sandra Johnson and husband Dallas of Jacksboro and Darlene Albright of Jacksboro; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life will be from 5:00-7:00 PM on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 10, 2022 at Powell Valley Cemetery with Military Honors given by the Campbell County Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers, please make all donations to the Campbell County Honor Guard.
