John Albert Hausser

September 10, 1926 — April 5, 2015

John Albert Hausser, age 88, of Jacksboro went to be with our Lord Jesus at 2:23 pm on Easter Sunday, April 5th, 2015. John was a well-educated man with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1948, a Master of Religious Education Degree in 1950, and another Master of Arts in Religious Education in 1983. John also served in the United States Army and was Honorably Discharged in August 1946. And if you knew John, you knew he loved flying planes. Flying was one of his greatest passions. John was a man of great faith and has lived his life ministering the word of God, and always having a choir singing praises to the Lord. John has directed music for churches in many places since 1945. He retired from Cedar Hill Baptist as Music Director in 2013. He then picked up at Caryville Baptist Church as their Music Director for most of 2014.

John was preceded in death by his parents Vernon Fred & Edith (Wettaw) Hausser and granddaughter Katelyn Norman.

John is survived by his wife Genelle Hassuer of Lafollette, TN, daughters Sherry Russell of Villages, Florida, Adele Tiller of Denver, Colorado, Brittni Hausser of Lafollette, TN, Erica Nelson of Lafollette, TN and Jennifer Norman of Lafollette, TN and his many grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Cedar Hill Baptist Church on Sunday, April 12th, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm followed by the funeral service officiated by Rev. Ronnie Arnold. Interment will be at 11:00 am on Monday, April 13th, 2015 at the Bakers Forge Memorial Cemetery.
