John Garner Kesterson

John Garner Kesterson, age 78, of Caryville passed away Friday February 7, 2014. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Mr. Kesterson was a loving father, brother and grandfather, he served as Elder of the First Presbyterian Church of LaFollette, member of Campbell County Library Board, served in the Army from 1954-1957, he loved to read detective and mystery books.

Preceded in death by parents Raymond and Ora Bailey Kesterson, brothers Jim Kesterson and Alvin Kesterson, sister Alma Coker..

Survived by daughters Sherrie Kesterson Burr and husband Jonathan E. Burr of Knoxville, Melanie Gfeller and husband John of Mount Laurel, New Jersey, grandchildren Bryan and Kevin Gfeller, Guy and Reuben Burr, sisters Ruth Stittums of LaFollette, Judy Bolton of Jacksboro and Joyce Futrell and husband Bill of Brooksville, Florida.

Visitation will be 5-6:30 pm Wednesday February 12, 2014 in First Presbyterian Church of LaFollette with Memorial service to follow at 6:30 pm with Rev. Michael Jarrett and Rev, David Maude officiating. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the First Presbyterian Church.
