John L. Lay

John L. Lay, age 66 of LaFollette, TN passed away on Friday, May 27, 2022 at U.T. Medical Center.  He was a member of the LaFollette Church of God.

He is preceded in death by his parents Hobert and Evelyn (Murray) Lay; and sisters Geraldine Barnes and Carolyn Arcarco.

He is survived by his loving wife Shelia; daughters Amanda Riggs and husband Lee of LaFollette and Amy Lay of Knoxville; sisters Nalda Smith of Davenport, Florida and Janice Sparks of Cocoa Beach, Florida; brother Jim Lay of Duff, TN; grandchildren Chloe and Caiden Riggs, Ashton Kraemer, Harper Walden, and Jordan Tinker; special friends Larry and Nona Tidwell of Jacksboro, TN; special nieces Debbie Bray of Monroe, Michigan and Stephanie Johnson of Jacksboro, TN; and several other friends and relatives.

A visitation will be held from 3:00-5:00 PM on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at LaFollette Church of God with the funeral service to follow at 5:00 PM with Rev. Michael Dent and Rev. Wade Walls officiating.
