John A. Stout Jr.

John Stout Jr., age 91 of LaFollette passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017.  He attended Church of Christ in Jacksboro. John loved worshipping, reading his Bible, caring for his family, building homes, woodworking, gardening, and mowing.  He also enjoyed watching Vols basketball and football.

He is preceded in death by his precious wife of 68 years, Gladys Earlene (Jones) Stout; son Jack Curtis Stout; parents John Arthur and Evelyn Lottie (Douglas) Stout; sister Dorothy Stout Monday; brother Jack Franklin Stout.

He is survived by children Johnny Stout, Suzanne Stout Joyner and husband Billy, Stephen Stout and wife Betty, Sherri Stout Powell, and William Stout and wife Darlene; grandchildren Melissa Byrd, and Laura Stout McGhee and husband Brett, Shannon Brandao and husband Hugo, Jeremy Bruce and wife Kristen, Brian Joyner, Eric Joyner and wife Jessica, Adam Stout, Matthew Stout and wife Candice, Will Stout and wife Rebecca, Kristin Combs and husband Andrew, Miranda Powell, and Rebekah Powell; great grandchild Brannon Bruce; sister-in-law Grace Stout Goins; brothers-in-law Arvil Jones and Curtis Jones; and many nieces and nephews whom he loved very much.

Visitation will be 6 – 8 PM Thursday, March 16, 2017 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home followed by funeral service 8 PM with Bro Tommy Robertson and Bro Carl Hicks officiating.  Friends and family will meet 10:15 AM Friday, March 17, 2017 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home for the 11 AM interment in Woodlawn Cemetery.
