Joseph "K-Joe" Jeffery McDowell

Joseph Jeffrey (K-Joe) McDowell, age 56 of LaFollette, passed on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at his home. He was born on February 21, 1970, to the late Kyle McDowell and Janice Carroll McDowell. Joseph was a loving father, grandfather, and husband that enjoyed spending time with his family. He also enjoyed fishing, hiking, and going on long bike rides with Malinda and his Southern Sons Brothers. Joseph was also a member and past president of the Southern Sons Motorcycle Club. He also enjoyed visiting Cumberland Village Nursing Home on Thursday nights for elder appreciation with his Southern Sons Brothers.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother-in-law Junior Thacker.

Joseph is survived by his wife Malinda “Petree” McDowell; daughters Bethany McDowell of Murfreesboro, TN, Kendra Blanton and Justin of LaFollette, Leandra Perry of LaFollette, and Alexandra Daugherty and James of LaFollette; Brother Kyle McDowell and Tammy of Jacksboro; sisters Cynthia Thacker of Knoxville and Tresa Jones and Jeff of Antioch, TN; grandchildren Hope, Kaleb, Tate, Elizabeth, Amelia, and Finnan; and a host other family, friends, and relatives.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM on Monday, November 9, 2026, in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with the funeral to follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Kyle McDowell officiating.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Southern Sons Children’s Toy fund.

The family has entrusted the care of Joseph Jeffrey (K-Joe) McDowell to Martin Wilson Funeral Home “Where Families Matter Most”.
