Josephine Walp

Josephine Walp, age 89, of Pioneer passed away on Friday, October 5, 2012. She was a member of Elk Valley Church of God. She was saved at 12 years old & praised the Lord everywhere she went. She loved to cook & loved her family very much.

Preceded in death by her parents Ben & Mary (Pike) Overbay, husband Clarence Walp, son Roger Walp, daughter Joyce Baird, brother Buddy Overbay, and sister Bertie Allen.

Survived by her son Benny Walp & wife Sabrina of Elk Valley, brothers Bobbie Overbay & wife Carolyn of LaFollette and Fred Overbay & wife Barbara of Caryville, sisters Edna Bunch of Jacksboro, Billie Nance of Jacksboro, Ella Wells of LaFollette, Sue Allen of Jacksboro, and Judy Bullock of Jacksboro, grandchildren Dewayne, Delbert, Roger Dell, Danny, Benny, Tim, Elisha, and Roxanne, and several great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2012 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm in the Martin Wilson Chapel. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 7, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Elk Valley Church of God with Rev David Napier, Rev Robbie Perkins, and Rev Ulice Cox officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Elk Fork Cemetery.
