Joyce Charlene Harness

Joyce Charlene Harness, age 81 of Jacksboro, passed away September 21, 2009 at home with her family at her side after a brief battle with cancer. She was of the Baptist faith and was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and sister. Joyce was retired from Imperial Reading in Lafollette and enjoyed spending time with her cats.

Joyce was preceded in death by Parents: Robert Lee Wyrick and Tilda Madison. Husband: Carl Harness. Brothers: Donald Wyrick and Pete Wyrick. Sister: Murlen Goodman. Son; Woodrow Harness. Sons in Law: J.D. Beach and Glen Marlow. Grandchildren: Lynn Harness and Eleanor Beach.

Joyce is survived by Daughters: Ella Beach of Jacksboro, Joyce Harness of Caryville and Lisa Harness Kesterson of Jacksboro. Sister: Lavena Strickland of Clinton. Brother: Harvey Wyrick of Clinton. 10 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren and 10 Great Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be 8 PM Tuesday, September 22, 2009 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. George Asbury and John Bush officiating. Interment will be 11 AM Wednesday in Jacksboro Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday night before funeral service.
