Katherine Hughes

Katherine Hughes, age 52 of Duff passed away Saturday, January 17, 2009 at St. Mary's Health and Rehab of Campbell County. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend who cared for everyone. Katherine had extreme faith in the Lord and she was always encouraging and uplifting to others. She enjoyed going to church and cared for others more than she did herself.

Preceded in death by Father: Charles Goins. Mother: Ollie Jones Goins. Sister: Myrtle Goins.

Survived by Son and daughter in law: Jason and Julia Hughes of Lafollette. Daughter and son in law: Brandi and Travis Jones of Lafollette and Moria Hughes of Duff. Brothers and sister-in-law: David and Kathy Goins of Duff. Paul and fiancée Sherry Bolton of Florida. Sisters and brothers-in-law: Janet and Jerry Watkins of Speedwell, Diane and Bill Collins of Duff, Glenda and Johnny Lowe of Lafollette, Brenda and Charles Rose of Duff, Donna and James Cramer of Duff. Grandchildren: Houston and Haley Hughes, Jacob, Joshua, John Isaac Jones and ex-husband Bill Hughes of Lafollette.  Host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be 8 PM Monday, January 19, 2009 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Randall Heatherly, Rev. Mike Smith, and Rev. J R Kitts officiating. Interment will be 12 PM Tuesday in Victory Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Monday night before funeral service.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that contributions be made to Martin Wilson Funeral Home for funeral expenses.
