Kathleen Babb Chadwell

Kathleen Babb Chadwell, age 81 of LaFollette, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 7, 2021. She was of the Baptist Faith. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and serving the Lord.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Gertrude Babb; brothers, Leon, Orville, James, and J.R. Babb; sister, Novella Massengill; son-in-law, Chuck Gabbard; grandson, Christopher Colburn.

Kathleen is survived by a loving husband, Gernie Chadwell; daughters, Patricia Gabbard of North Carolina, Karen Collette and husband, Billy of North Carolina, Donna Bean and husband, Greg of LaFollette, Kathy Colburn and husband, Ronnie of Jacksboro, Crystal Wilson and husband, Jarrett of LaFollette; seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with her funeral service to follow at 8:00 PM with Rev. David Hicks officiating. The family and friends will meet at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home to go in a funeral procession to Victory Cemetery for an 11:00 AM internment.
